Preparing to GO!

For the past two years I have been blessed to have gone on a mission trip to Africa that has changed my life, my heart and my personal walk with my Savior.

Last year there were 16 of us that traveled to Zambia, Africa to work with the Chande Orphanage and surrounding townships. While there we organized and taught a Holiday Bible School in the orphanage, did evangelism in a close by township, held a men's, women's and youth conference overnight and spoke in four different churches in the townships and in the bush.

While our purpose in going is to teach the good news to as many people as possible we use different tools to do that. We average about 200 students at our Holiday Bible School and use every team member to teach a class. When we visit in the townships we divide up our team and visit as many dwellings as possible. At the conference that we use to teach leaders in the churches, we each have a part in teaching a valuable part of the lesson.

Although it's a very challenging trip physically, mentally and emotionally I have felt the call that God has placed on my heart to once again go and be a part of the team leaving in April 2011 to continue God's work in Zambia. In order for me to go and be a part of sharing God's word with the Zambian people I must raise $3,500. As uncomfortable as it is to ask for help in raising this money not doing so would deny you the opportunity to support me and to be a very important part in the Kingdom work our team has been called to do.

More importantly than helping me to raise the money I need to go I would ask you to commit to pray for a couple of things:

1. Pray for our team that God has called. Pray that God continues to prepare our hearts for this mission. Pray for us to all be protected from the spiritual warfare that will be and is being fought over us as we submit to God's calling.

2. Pray for the Zambian people. Pray that God is preparing their hearts even now to be open to our message.

3. Pray for the preparations of the team and materials that we will be preparing from this point forward.
