What keeps you going in tough times?

So I realize that I don't blog very often. I asked myself why and I think it's because I am afraid of offending someone or something along those lines because honestly, I love to write.....so...I will try to start giving you all a peak into my mind and the things that go through it. Consumer...BEWARE!

Right now in my life I feel overwhelmed. I think mainly because my husband is going through something that I never even heard of until he came home from the doctor that day. Bells Palsy. Yep, this is where one side of your face is paralyzed. Just think of that for a minute. Your eye can't shut on it's own, you can't smile on one side, you can't eat right or drink right, things normally fall out of your mouth so you ruin alot of clothes, you can't even give your kids "the look" you know the angry eyebrow look. When you talk you sound like you have something in your mouth and you sound just funny at times (mainly when you're trying to get onto the kids). From what the doctor has told us this is brought on by stress. Hmmmm stress. Something I know a thing or two about.

Anyhow, with my husband dealing with this I find myself many times being a single mom of sorts. I am doing everything under the sun for all of the family at all times. I'm trying to take as much stress as I can off of him. I mean I'm even working from home for him. (for those that don't know, he works from home trading stocks...no we're not rich but we make ends meet). So he went back to the doctor today for a recheck and now he has to get a CT scan because he shouldn't be having the major headaches he is having.

Stressed....But I can say that when I post something about it on Facebook my friends...they lift us up in prayer and that keeps me going. God gives us, or rather allows us to go through things to strengthen our faith in Him. My faith has been tested very much in this time in ways that I don't want to share right now but those close to me know. I'm thankful that God refines me, I feel closer to him when he does. I still want to crawl in a hole and cry but I know God is standing at the entry of that hole waiting on me to shake the dirt off and keep going.

I felt like sharing this because somewhere out there someone is going through something in their life and they need to know that God is there. He is there to help you and me. He is there to strengthen our faith and to stand firm in it. Not only that, others are watching to see how we handle the tough times in our life and I will tell you I would rather have them see me pick up my Bible or go to church or pray rather than what I use to do when times got tough. So my brothers and sisters in Christ....hang in there...hang in there with me....we can do this with Him!
